What are our PCBN BZN™ VS-Series?

 

Hyperion Materials & Technologies manufactures PCBN Versatile grades specializing in edge toughness while maintaining superior crater and abrasion resistance for machining hardened steels, called VS-Series.

 

Viewed as a benchmark of hardened steel machining grades, the BZN VS-Series provides the following key attributes:

  • Improved toughness and chipping resistance.
  • Flexibility in tool design and geometry.
  • Ability to handle applications with increasing interruption levels or chip loads with more consistent tool life.

 

VS-Series grades also contain zero carbide support. Due to no carbide support, there is no coefficient of thermal expansion mismatch during tool fabrication.
