cBNMic Powders
Description: Cubic boron nitride microcrystalline powders create exceptional thermal stability, self-sharpening, and grinding efficiency performance. It is used for lapping, honing, and polishing ferrous materials in automotive, aerospace, and scientific instruments.
cBNMic is cubic boron nitride (cBN) designed for advanced wear-resistant characteristics developed into a powder that provides strong performances in thermal stability, self-sharpening ability, and grinding efficiency. It is the sister product to cBNMesh, our mesh CBN synthetic diamond product. It is designed for the specialized market of lapping, honing, and polishing ferrous materials in automotive, aerospace, and scientific instruments.
At Hyperion Materials & Technologies, we stringently test our cBNMic material to ensure its characteristics are within closely controlled parameters, helping us to be able to guarantee complete quality assurance for our customers and that the final product meets specifications.
cBNMic is available in two colors, amber and black, and the color difference is due to the segregation of the CBN feed at the source. Our stringent control of particle size distribution will ensure the cBN feed source and surface cleanliness will provide no color variation in the product. We guarantee that every batch of specific cBNMic products will perform identically.
