Hyperion offers engineering design service and support to analyze the needs of each customer to develop a rotary cutting or slitting solution that is tailored to their exact specifications. Hyperion offers the complete assembly including the cutting element, the anvil that acts as the counterpart, and the frame the holds the assembly together.
Hyperion is also uniquely positioned with a fully integrated supply chain with total control from the carbide powder to the finished product. This is extended beyond the finished product through Hyperion’s regrinding and resharpening services to extend the life of the cutter and providing carbide recycling services at the end of the tool lifetime.
Hyperion’s manufacturing lead times for a new rotary cutter solution can range from 6-12 weeks depending on the complexity of the design and unique specifications of the application.
From powder to finished product, Hyperion Materials & Technologies’ rotary cutter solutions are produced in France. The powder used in the initial production of parts is sourced from Hyperion’s powder facility in Grenoble while the final rotary cutting dies, anvils, and cutting modules are manufactured in Epinouze.
Hyperion Materials & Technologies supports customers with the carbide recycling of used rotary cutter solutions and tooling. Through its Carbide Recycling Program, Hyperion purchases used carbide cutting solutions and tooling from customers to convert them back into usable raw materials for future production.
